Overview

Branding and installations for the gallery of Artspace Hamilton Lofts. ArtSpace is a nationwide organization that seeks to transform neglected historical buildings into residential/studio units for working artists. In 2018, Hamilton ArtSpace Lofts rebranded its gallery as Strauss Gallery, paying homage to its past with a nostalgic logo and a timeline of the building's history.

Hand-painting this sign for the new gallery was one of my first large signage projects. I called around town for anyone who might have a projector, and ended up rigging the piece of wood to hang from a projector screen, sketching on it while standing on a table in a conference room at the local library. 😅
